On Monday HP started KES 2025 with three updated business laptops in the EliteBook line, each equipped Intelnew Lunar Lake chips.
The EliteBook Ultra G1i, EliteBook X G1i, and EliteBook X Flip G1i feature a familiar design with updated features inside to deliver the performance and portability professionals and commuters demand. The EliteBook X Flip G1i has the added bonus of a 2-in-1 design for those who want to use their laptop in tablet mode.
All three Co-pilot+ PCthat is, they have Microsoft Copilot AI built-in assistant, right down to a special button on the keyboard. They follow HP EliteBook Ultra 2024which was also a Copilot+ PC but had a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor. Bye Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite is a game changer for Windows on ArmBusiness users in particular may be concerned about potential software compatibility issues with the more traditional Intel x86 processor.
The 2024 HP EliteBook Ultra wasn’t perfect, but it scores 4 out of 5 stars thanks to its excellent battery life (more than 16 hours) and performance that surpasses MacBook Air The M3 and its bright, vibrant display. These are all important features for a business laptop. So, let’s hope that Intel’s Lunar Lake processor can deliver everything we loved about the previous generation, while improving graphics performance and, of course, avoiding compatibility issues.
Those answers will have to wait until we can put the new EliteBooks through our lab tests, but here’s a look at the spec breakdown, which is the same for all three models, with the exception of the 2-in-1 design on the EliteBook X Flip G1i:
