Huawei Mate X6 begins global rollout
More than two weeks ago, Huawei declare it is Mate X6 It’s foldable in China and is now making inroads into global markets. It’s the direct successor to last year’s China-exclusive launch Mate X5 There are some improvements, including a better camera and a bigger battery.
Huawei will offer its latest foldable phone in three colors: Nebula Grey, Nebula Red and Black. The device measures just 4.6 mm in the unfolded state and 9.9 mm in the folded state. The phone also comes with IPX8 water resistance.
A quick recap of the specs – the Mate X6 features a 7.93-inch LTPO OLED main screen (2,440 x 2,240 pixels; 1,800 nits) and a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED overlay screen (FHD+ 2,500 nits), protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass.
The back houses a 50MP main camera with RYYB sensor and f/1.4-f/4.0 variable aperture, and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom and 5cm super macro mode. The third shooter is a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus. Huawei has also added an Ultra Chroma camera that captures 1.5 million spectral channels to give your photos richer, more realistic colors.
The chipset situation is a bit complicated due to geopolitical reasons, but the latest reports indicate that internal Kirin 9020 This is the same wafer found in Companion 70 series Telephone.
It is said to use a 12-core CPU, of which 2 main cores have a frequency of up to 2.5GHz, 6 intermediate cores have a frequency of up to 2.1GHz, and 4 high-efficiency cores have a frequency of up to 1.6GHz. Some, but not all, of these CPU cores have Hyper-Threading capabilities. The GPU side is covered by the Maleoon 920 clocked at 840 MHz. Again, Huawei hasn’t confirmed any of these specs, so take them with a grain of salt.
The software front end is covered by EMUI 15. The silicon carbon battery capacity is 5110mAh and supports 66W wired, 50W wireless and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
Pricing for singles 12/512GB Trim is set to €1,999. Deliveries are expected to begin on January 6th.
