Hyper & Targus outfit Apple users with new cables, bags, & more

Targus and Hyper will be showcasing a variety of Mac and iPad accessories at CES 2025.

Targus and Hyper continue to serve Apple users as the company unveiled new hardware at CES 2025, from sleek tech backpacks to colorful hubs and adapters for a variety of applications.

Since being acquired by Targus in 2021, Hyper has continued its mission of creating functional and professional products for Apple users. CES 2025 shows that ideology is still strong.

Hyper lineup at CES 2025

The leaders of the line are the HyperPack and HyperPack Go backpacks. The first includes a built-in tracker that works seamlessly with Apple. Find mine and Google Find My Device.

HyperPack go is a bit more streamlined and includes a pocket where users can optionally add their own tracker of choice. Be it AirTag or something else.


HyperPack and HyperPack come from Hyper

Each package is waterproof to protect your electronics inside, has pass-through ports for power on the go, and hidden security pockets. They are also environmentally friendly and made partly from recycled materials.

HyperPack with built-in tracking costs $109.99, while HyperPack Go costs just $79.99. They will go on sale in the second quarter of 2025.

There is also the HyperDrive Flex collection, which includes a series of USB-C adapters and hubs in various colors. They are available in Pixel Pink, Quantum Teal, Brilliant Blue and Black Expand and are made from 75% recycled plastic.


The new hubs have colorful accents and a variety of configurations.

Next on the list of Hyper CES releases is HyperShield. MacBook Pro Cable lock. This $59.99 cable is a tool-free lock that attaches to the vent on both 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook ProWith.


This unique lock attaches to the air vent on the side of the latest MacBook Pro.

It is easy to install and has 6.5 feet of galvanized steel cable. Users can lock and unlock the cable using the included physical key.

Finally, Hyper brings some Poppy elegance for Windows users with HyperSpace Trackpad Pro. This new trackpad will arrive in the second quarter of 2025.

It boasts zero response latency, similar to Apple’s. Other features include premium design, independent finger pressure recognition, and advanced haptic feedback.


HyperSpace Trackpad Pro is designed to bring the Mac experience to Windows users for the first time.

Users can customize their experience by adjusting touch pressure, pressure sensitivity, and app-specific gesture mapping. While it launches with Windows support, Mac support will arrive later in 2025.

Targus CES 2025 lineup

Hyper’s sister brand Targus also had several new products to showcase at the annual technology show. Many of them are also Apple-centric, blurring the lines between the two brands.

Its new HeritageLuxe Backpack fits 15- and 16-inch laptops and provides rugged protection in a sleek, professional package. It features a Targus SafePort SafeSling with Blue Shock protection, a removable tech case, and a retractable USB-C port for charging via a user-supplied plug-in internal battery.


This luxury backpack has tons of features.

This backpack doesn’t come cheap: it will cost $284.99 when it launches in March 2025.

Targus offers new Hardshell cases for iPad. There are separate cases, as well as cases with a built-in Bluetooth keyboard.

They boast up to six feet of drop protection and a built-in screen protector.

SafePort Rugged Max cases will be available in February for $66.99 to $77.99, while VersaVu Bluetooth Keyboard cases will be available in the first quarter for $99.99 to $124.99 depending on size.


This is one of the first Thunderbolt 5 docking stations to hit the market.

And finally, from Targus is the DOCK230 Thunderbolt 5 Triple Video 8K EcoSmart Dock with 140W EPR.

Ports include:

  • Audio input/output
  • (4X) USB 3.2 Gen 2, Type A
  • Thunderbolt 5 host port
  • (3) Bottom Thunderbolt 5 data/video ports
  • 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
  • Nano lock slot
  • Standard lock slot

The name reveals most of the functionality, including 140W power, triple 8K video output, and 120Gbps data transfer speed. Following its release last year, this is one of many Thunderbolt 5 docks to hit the market.

The Targus Thunderbolt 5 Dock will be available later in the first quarter of 2025 for $399.
