In the first episode of Season 2, Mark Scott (Adam Scott) returns to his role as “The Insider” at Lumon Industries, after we last saw him in reality in the Season 1 finale. He wakes up in the world and finds that his wife is still alive. Understandably, he was a little tired and nervous after his escape.

Seth tells Mark that their “outsiders” refuse to return to Lumeng, but Mark, of course, doesn’t fully believe everything he says, especially after his failed rebellion.
When the clip fades to the Apple TV Plus logo, we’re left with more questions: Was Seth telling the truth? Will Hayley, Owen and Dylan return? Why did Mark’s “layman” send him back? We’ll just have to be patient and wait to see what happens next, but luckily, there are only three weeks left until the first episode airs in its entirety.
