Instagram’s new ‘trial reels’ feature lets creators test content with non-followers
Meta introduces a new way for creators to test content performance before sharing it with followers. Instagram’s new feature, called “Trials,” allows creators to share videos with non-followers to gauge reactions. This will allow creators to push their most engaging videos to an audience they are actively following.
Yuan explain How to set up a trial roll on Instagram:
To share a reel as a trial, just follow the normal steps to create the reel, but before sharing, click the switch to turn on Trial. Once you share your trial, you can find it by visiting your profile, where it will appear along with any drafts you own.
Only you can see that your reel is a trial version. Unless you later decide to share it with everyone, it won’t be visible to others on your profile’s main grid or Reels tab, and your followers won’t see it in their feed or Reels tab. A trial scroll is seen in the card. […]
The company added that useful insights and metrics will be available within 24 hours of the trial rollout. Trials that perform well can be optionally shared with followers automatically after 72 hours.
The new trial reels feature will have its own trial period. Meta says the new tool will roll out to select audiences today, then become available globally to all eligible creators in the coming weeks.
