Intel Panther Lake samples with flagship 18A node have been powered on at eight customers — Co-CEOs dispel rumors regarding poor silicon health

Just a few months after Pat Gelsinger showed off a prototype of the Panther Lake project live at the show Lenovo Technology World EventIntel reports that Panther Lake is currently powered on at eight customers. At Barclays’ 22nd Annual Global Technology Conference, Intel’s two interim co-CEOs clarified rumors about 18A and Panther Lake, which is scheduled to launch in 2025.

Known as Core Ultra 300, Panther Lake is expected to be the successor to Intel’s Arrow Lake-U/H series of CPUs, which are rumored to launch next month. These CPUs will be the first to be built using Intel’s flagship 18A process, as Intel looks to break away from TSMC. More than 70% of Panther Lake will be manufactured internal. As far as we know, Panther Lake is an action-first product.
