
iOS 18.2.1 has emergency bug fixes for unknown iPhone issues
On Monday, Apple released iOS/iPadOS 18.2.1, a minor update that fixes bugs. It will arrive just a few weeks before iOS 18.3which began testing in December.
Apple’s release notes are very brief, simply saying that the update “provides important bug fixes and is recommended for all users.” It’s unclear what exactly the update fixes, as there are no known widespread bugs in iOS 18.2.
Apple’s security site says the update does not contain any published CVEs, which is unusual for targeted updates. Additionally, there is no corresponding update for macOS or iOS 17 devices.
Apple released iOS 18.2 in mid-December with several new Apple Intelligence features including ChatGPT integrationsome improving quality of lifeand numerous security updates.
To update your iPhone or iPad, go to the Settings app, then General And Software update. The 500 MB update will take a few minutes to install.
