iOS 18.2.1 now available for iPhone users

Apple today released iOS 18.2.1 for iPhone users. The update will be out in a little less than a month after the release of iOS 18.2 with new Apple Intelligence features, a redesigned Mail app, and more.

iOS 18.2.1 more details

iOS 18.2.1 can be downloaded by going to the Settings app, selecting General, then tapping Software Update. The new release has build number 2A3798. Apple has also released iPadOS 18.2.1 for iPad users. Updates are not available for Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, Vision Pro, or HomePod.

Apple’s release notes are short and sweet: “This update contains important bug fixes and is recommended for all users.”

There’s no word yet on what exactly Apple has decided to do with the release of iOS 18.2.1 for iPhone users. However, the release notes make it clear that we shouldn’t expect any major new features.

Meanwhile, Apple continues beta testing of iOS 18.3. The company released the first beta in December, and we’re expecting a new beta this week with a general release at the end of the month.
