iOS 18.2 finally brings Image Playground and here is how you can use it in India

Apple finally released the much-anticipated iOS 18.2. The new operating system update introduces a series of features designed to enhance iPhone users’ creativity and productivity. In addition, for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 series users, iOS 18.2 also brings new AI features in the Apple Intelligence suite, including Image Playground, Genmoji, Visual Intelligence, ChatGPT and Siri integration, etc.

In addition to these new artificial intelligence features, Apple has also expanded localized English support in iOS 18.2. How to use Apple Intelligence in India

You can access Apple Intelligence features on iPhone 15 Pro or any iPhone in the latest iPhone 16 series by adjusting device settings:

• Go to Settings > General > Language & Region.
• Select English (United States) as your device’s primary language.
• Navigate to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Language.
• English (US) is selected for both Siri and Apple Intelligence.
• Once setup is complete, you will be prompted to join the Apple Intelligence waitlist.

Note that after joining, Apple will notify you when the required language model is available for download. Download time depends on your internet speed. Once you gain access to the Apple Intelligence suite, you’ll be able to try new features, including Image Playground—Apple’s image-generating application.

What is an Image Playground?

Image Playground is an Apple AI feature that is part of the Apple Intelligence suite. It allows users to create images. The tool enables users to combine text descriptions, concepts and photos from the library to produce personalized visuals. This feature supports two different styles: animation and illustration. Users can also explore various creative options, such as choosing themes, clothing or accessories to build their look.

In addition, Image Playground will be integrated into multiple apps such as Messages, Freeform, and Keynote, making it available across the entire Apple ecosystem.

How to use Image Playground

After gaining access to Apple Intelligence and updating your iPhone to iOS 18.2:

• Open the Image Playground app on your iPhone.
• The app may take some time to download required support for Image Playground, Genmoji, and other updates.
• Once the download is complete, open the Image Playground app.
• Click the Add New button and select an option:
• Choose a theme, clothing or accessories.
• Enter text prompts to create visual effects.
• Use an existing image from your photo library.
• Choose animation and illustration styles for your images.
• Click Done to save the image to your gallery or share it directly through Messages or other apps.

Additionally, you can edit saved images by adding concepts, refining descriptions, or adjusting styles.
