
iOS 18.4 beta with expanded Siri capabilities coming ‘fairly soon’

Since Apple issued iOS 18.3 for the public at the end of January, we have been waiting for announcements about the first beta -version of iOS 18.4, which is expected to bring large Siri updates and more Apple intelligence functions. Now the report Bloomberg Mark Gurman suggests that the update will be available “pretty soon” for developers.

In particular, Gourmet suggests that the first beta version of iOS 18.4 will be released by the developers somewhere between the “middle of next week and the beginning of the next week.” Last year, iOS 17.4 beta 1 was released on January 25. However, the first beta -the version of iOS 16.4 was released on February 16.
It is expected that with iOS 18.4 Apple will finally introduce the long-awaited Siri updates on devices compatible with Apple Intelligence. These include a personal understanding of the context, awareness of the screen and the ability to control applications. It is expected that the update will also add priority notifications that automatically allocate specific notifications using AI.
Moreover, Apple has already confirmed that for the first time will expand the support of Apple Intelligence for more languages with iOS 18.4. Among the new languages will be Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese.
It is also likely that iOS 18.4 will add new emoticons that have already been disclosed by the Unicode consortium. New emoticons include fingerprint, face with bags under the eyes, harp, root vegetables, luxury wood, spray and shovels.
