Microsoft released two new Windows 11 Insider builds this week, one for the advanced Canary channel under build 27766and the other is for the beta channel under assembly 22635.4660. Both of them contain many improvements to File Explorer, such as crash fixes and performance improvements, among others.
In addition to the changes announced in the release notes, the channel beta also contains an unannounced improvement that will benefit IT and system administrators, as well as regular users who like to experiment and stay up to date with Windows Update deployments. on their systems.
This change was discovered by Windows enthusiast and detective phantomofert, who shared it on his official X handle. This Customized Update Policies page in the Advanced section of Windows Update settings helps users check additional update policies and feature update policies installed on their device .
With this update, the policy page now displays additional information, including the selected Optional and Feature Update policy value, and a helpful “Learn More” link that takes you to the relevant Microsoft support article.
