Kobo’s Elipsa 2E, an excellent e-reader for taking notes, is down to its best price
Amazon may have released a new Kindle Scribe went on sale earlier this month for $399.99but after testing, I still don’t think it can compete with the competition. If you’re looking for a great e-reader with more useful note-taking features, Kobo Elipsa 2E Still one of my favorites, it’s on its all-time low price of $349.99 ($50 off) Amazon or Target. Rakuten Kobo When you purchase a $50 gift card, you’ll also get a $10 credit that you can use to make purchases books or style.
If you’re the kind of person who likes to doodle in the margins while reading an e-book, you might prefer the Kobo Elipsa 2E. Elipsa 2E lets you write directly on the eBook page, taking notes in the margins or anywhere you want, just like on paper. The new Kindle Scribe also lets you write directly on the page, but it’s much more complicated and you can’t even circle phrases or words.
In addition to a more natural note-taking experience, Elipsa 2E offers other useful features. For example, it has twice the storage space of the entry-level Kindle Scribe (32GB) and accurately converts handwriting to typed text faster than Scribe. Of course, the biggest drawback is that it doesn’t natively support Kindle e-books, so you’ll have to convert your library if you want to read them from a Kobo device.
