Monkey Palace turns Lego building into a fast-paced and varied strategy game for 2-4 players. This is not the first officially licensed Lego board game, but it is the only one that is currently still in print. Old Lego board games tend to sell for quite high prices, so it would be wise to add Monkey Palace to your collection as soon as possible.
What happens if a monkey stumbles upon an ancient palace in the jungle but decides to renovate his new home? Of course, the whole place collapses, so now you and three other players have to rebuild the structure from scratch.
To help the monkeys live big again, people are taking turns adding Lego pieces to makeshift staircases. Each piece costs a certain number of Monkey Credits, which can be exchanged for Monkey Cards. The Monkey card you choose to play determines what type of brick you use to make and decorate the stairs. As you build, you earn banana points, which are tallied at the end of the game to determine the winner. Games last approximately 45 minutes.
Monkey Palace comes with 231 dice and multiple game boards, each presenting their own unique challenges and adding replay value. There are many different ways to build your palace, so while there are rules to follow, it’s a fairly open-ended game that each player will approach from a different angle.
