Lenovo Legion Tab is an 8.8-inch, $499 Android tablet for gaming

Lenovo is releasing one of the first small but powerful Android tablets we’ve seen in years with the new gaming-focused Lenovo Legion Tab, which goes on sale later this month.

The Lenovo Legion Tab is designed to offer a slightly bigger and slightly cheaper gaming experience on Android. This is achieved with an 8.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2560×1600. The LCD also has a 288Hz touch sampling rate and HDR10 support.

Under the hood, the Legion Tab is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It also packs a 6,550mAh battery with dual USB-C ports and 45W charging. To keep your device cool while gaming, it features a Legion Coldfront steam chamber.

The tablet runs Android 14 out of the box with Lenovo Legion Space software and customizable gaming settings. There’s no word yet on Lenovo’s update policy for this tablet, but lately the company has been releasing an average of 2-3 major Android updates for all but the cheapest models.

Legion Tab is not Lenovo’s first gaming tablet releasedbut it’s entering the US market for the first time and looks quite attractive even to those who are not gamers. Like Apple’s iPad Mini, this tablet is compact in size without sacrificing screen quality, performance, or flashy gaming design. This is interesting to say the least.

Lenovo Legion Tab available to purchase today for $499.
