LG announces two new lifestyle projectors
LG’s announcements at CES 2025 are going well, and the latest products are two lifestyle projectors. The PF600U is a floor lamp-sized LED projector that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker and LED mood light. CineBeam S (PU615U) is LG’s smallest 4K Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector with Dolby Atmos stereo sound.
LG PF600U uses LED (RGBB) light source with a brightness of 300 ANSI lumens and a resolution of FHD. The projector has a contrast ratio of 150,000:1 and can project screen sizes of 30 – 120 inches with a throw ratio of 1.2. It supports HDR, HLG picture formats and automatic screen adjustment.
There is a set of stereo speakers built into the body as well as HDMI and USB Type-C ports. The software is covered by webOS and supports wireless casting for Android and iOS devices.
CineBeam S (PU615U) is LG’s most compact 4K UST projector to date. It is a 110 x 160 x 160 mm box projector capable of projecting a 40 – 100 inch picture at a throw ratio of 0.25. CineBeam S is rated at 500 ANSI lumens, has a contrast ratio of 450,000:1, and supports both HDR 10 and HLG standards. It also has 154% DCI-P3 color space coverage.
The projector uses Dolby Atmos to provide stereo sound, runs webOS, and supports Android and iOS projection. It also has HDMI and USB-C ports.
LG has yet to reveal pricing and availability for its new projectors, so we’ll have to wait until CES officially kicks off on January 7 for more details.
