LG Gram 2025 laptops are thin and lights with Intel Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake chips and “hybrid AI” features
this LG g This line of laptops gets its name from LG’s tendency to cram a lot of features into compact bodies – and once upon a time, that meant the LG Gram Pro line started at 1 kilogram, or about 2.2 pounds. That’s not the case for the 2025 lineup: the lightest model lifts 1.24 kilograms (2.73 pounds). But that’s still pretty good for a laptop with a 16-inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel 144 Hz display, a 77 Wh battery, and an Intel Core Ultra 9 H series “Arrow Lake processor.”
This is just one of four new LG Gram laptops the company is launching Launching ahead of CES 2025. Other models have larger displays, larger batteries, and/or discrete graphics cards, etc.
Like nearly every other PC maker, LG is touting the AI capabilities of its new laptops. The company said the new LG Gram Pro The series offers “hybrid AI” capabilities, as the notebooks have both on-device and cloud-based AI capabilities.
There’s a “gram chat” feature that uses “artificial intelligence algorithms to process and analyze data locally, without the need for an internet connection” to answer some questions and allow you to quickly return to previously visited websites, documents and media files. You can also take advantage of the cloud-based “gram chat Cloud” function and use OpenAI’s GPT-4o to get more advanced features. LG offers a 1-year cloud service subscription, but customers who want to continue using the service after that will have to pay.
But even if you don’t care about artificial intelligence at all, the new LG Gram Pro series brings significant CPU and graphics upgrades over its predecessors. While LG hasn’t announced any new models with 14-inch or smaller displays, the new laptops are still very thin and light for a large-screen laptop: the 16-inch model is just 12.8 mm (0.5 inches) thick and weighs Approximately 1.24 to 1.4 kilograms (2.73 to 3.08 pounds), while the 17-inch model is only 15.8 millimeters (0.6 inches) thick and weighs 3.26 pounds.
There’s also a new entry model called LG Gram Book It has an older processor, a smaller battery, a thicker and heavier design, and a less impressive display and webcam.
