LG’s StanbyME sequel adds a carrying strap to the portable TV

Original StanByMe portable TV and continuation of the briefcase in the style of Inspector Gadget have been surprisingly popular, so of course we’ll get a new one by 2025. I like to imagine LG literally carrying the StanbyME 2 to CES with carrying straps that you can attach to it, like the rep did in this video below. .

The StanbyME 2’s 27-inch 1440p touchscreen should provide sharper images than the 1080p original. It also lasts longer with four hours of battery life compared to three and a half hours, but LG hasn’t revealed details about pricing or availability.

You can still mount the TV on a floor stand that holds it and charges it, but LG unabashedly emphasizes its portability with a carrying strap that you can also use to hang on the wall like a photo frame on a fairly sturdy hook. It’s also compatible with a flip case that protects the display during transport and doubles as a tabletop stand, while the remote control can be attached to the top of the TV using magnets. It has two USB-C ports that can be used for charging and peripherals like webcams, as well as a traditional HDMI input.

These upgrades seem relatively minor, but if you’re looking to go modern Radio Rahim with a TV on his shoulder – and, presumably, the same pill to match StanbyME XT7 Bluetooth Speaker under your arm – StanbyME 2 can become your TV.
