macOS Sequoia 15.3 beta 2 now available, here’s what to expect

After a holiday beta break, Apple has just released Beta 2 of macOS Sequoia 15.3. The update is currently only available to developers, not a public beta, and is rolling out now.

The highlight of macOS 15.3 is the addition of Genmoji.

macOS Sequoia 15.3 received its first beta version back in Decembershortly after the public launch of macOS 15.2 and its Big new Apple Intelligence features.

This first beta of 15.3 included one notable addition: Genmoji support.

Apple released iOS and iPadOS 18.2 with a new Genmoji AI feature, but Mac wasn’t initially included.

Luckily, Mac users didn’t have to wait long for Genmoji’s own feature to arrive. It’s currently available in beta, and the public launch of version 15.3 is expected in just a month.

What to expect from Beta 2 and installation details

With the exception of Genmoji, macOS 15.3 Beta 1 didn’t contain many changes. It’s possible that Apple held off on major updates since Beta 1 came out right before the holidays.

However, if Apple follows the example of last year’s software updates, it’s possible that this will simply be a less than average release.

We’ll keep you updated on any changes we discover as we dive into Beta 2.

To install the latest beta, visit the Software Update section of the Mac System Preferences app.

Make sure beta updates are enabled and you are ready to receive developer betas.
