Specific numbers for Marvel Rivals indicate that NetEase is willing to be a little more transparent about how fans choose to interact with the roster, but many likely won’t find anything surprising in the betting list. Jeff in particular has proven to be a real punching bag for the community since the game launched last month. This adorable dog shark terrorized enemy teams with his game “It’s Jeff!” Ultimate ability where he swallows multiple enemies and usually sends them to their deaths. He is relatively easy to deal with, so his appearance in the match was never a surprise.
On the other hand, the win rate shows that Marvel Rivals was largely even regardless of which hero players rush into battle with. While almost every character hovers around the 50% win rate regardless of game mode, Jeff actually lands on the lower end of the spectrum, with 45.39% of matches won in Quick Play and 44.38% in Competitive Play. In fact, it is Mantis that brings home the most consistent wins, with 56% of games won in Quick play and 55.20% in Competitive play.
Some of these statistics may give players a hint about how NetEase will move forward when it comes to future balance changes. However, these selection rates are bound to change one day. Season 1 introduces new maps, modes and characters such as Fantastic Fourstarting this Friday, January 10th. “Mr. Fantastic” and “The Invisible Woman” will begin production starting this week, while “The Thing” and “Human Torch” are due to arrive mid-season.
