Microsoft Enables iPhone-to-Windows File Sharing for Insiders

Microsoft has begun gradually rolling out feature enablement files Sharing between iPhone and Windows PC Available to users in its Windows Insider program. This feature simplifies file transfer between the two devices, solving a common pain point for iPhone and Windows users.

To access this feature, users need the latest version of the relevant application. Specifically, phone link Applications on Windows must be updated to version 1.24112.73 or higher, and Link to Windows App version on iPhone must be 1.24112.89.0 or higher. also, Users must have an iPhone running iOS 16 or higher.

Transferring files from iPhone to Windows PC is very easy. The user navigates to the desired file on the iPhone, clicks on the share icon, and selects the “Link to Windows” option. They then select the target device to complete the process. To transfer files from Windows PC to iPhone, users right-click on the desired file, select “Share” and then click “My Phone” to start the transfer.

This new feature is available via phone link application, formerly known as your phone number, It bridges communication and file sharing between Windows PCs and mobile devices. By extending this feature to iPhone, Microsoft aims to improve the compatibility and user experience of its ecosystem.

Currently, the rollout is limited to members of the Windows Insider program, the group responsible for testing early features and updates. Wider availability of the feature has not yet been announced, but represents a step toward seamless integration between Apple and Windows platforms.
