Microsoft is using Bing to trick people into thinking they’re on Google

Microsoft has pulled out yet another trick to get people to use its Bing search engine. If you use Bing right now without signing into a Microsoft account and search Google, you’ll see a page that looks a lot like… Google.

For this particular search query, Microsoft is clearly trying to make Bing look like Google, while other searches just list the usual Bing search results without this special interface. this Google results Included is a search bar, an image that looks a lot like a Google doodle, and even some small text below the search bar just like Google. Microsoft will even automatically scroll the page down slightly to cover up its own Bing search bar that appears at the top of the search results.

Although Bing still displays Google search results under this deceptive Google UI, many people will see this interface when they set up a new computer and search for Google in the address bar of Microsoft Edge. as 9 to 5 google point outa sneaky move by Microsoft to try and get people to stick with Bing instead of switching to Google.

Google has also posted its own notices on its website encouraging people to download Chrome instead of Microsoft Edge, but they’re not nearly as aggressive as Microsoft’s use of operating system-level pop-ups and website modifications.
