Capcom just announced another one Wild Monster Hunters open beta test next month, giving players a few more chances to try out the massively multiplayer RPG for free ahead of its release. Release date: February 28..

This time there will actually be two tests, spread over several weekends. Both are free Wild Monster Hunters The betas will take place on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Steam) and will include everything from the first beta last year, as well as the new Gypceros wyvern to hunt.

Additional free test weekends will take place from February 6th to 9th and February 13th to 16th from 7:00 pm to 7:00 pm each time. As with the first beta, PS Plus or Game Pass Core subscriptions will not be required to play online. Capcom said it is running additional beta tests to give the game a chance to more players who may have missed out on the first test back in November.

But while the publisher said it learned a lot over the weekend in terms of player feedback and complaints, don’t expect anything different this time around. “Please be aware that these improvements, including performance, game balance, weapon mechanics, known issues and more, will not be reflected in the OBT 2 build,” the company said this week.

These improvements stated Wild Monster Hunters director Yuya Tokuda in the previous videoOver time, monsters will be less likely to move into new areas and the “hit stop” will become more noticeable, making hitting enemies with giant swords and axes more satisfying. The team also announced several weapon balance changes. It’s unclear why they couldn’t be added to the game for new betas, which would undoubtedly have given Capcom even more time to gauge community feedback before releasing the game fully. After all, that’s what betas are for.

Instead, fans will have to wait until February 28th to see the changes in action. At this point, anyone who took part in one of the betas will receive their bonus rewards, such as a decorative in-game pendant and a starter item pack with meat, traps and other monster hunting essentials.
