Some of the more expensive PlayStation accessories that Sony offers fans are being restocked again, this time in a new color scheme. The latest announcements are “galaxy-inspired” versions of Midnight Black for PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge, Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite.
“Each Midnight Black accessory features a unique rich black hue with subtle details on various buttons and accents such as the PlayStation logo,” the announcement reads. blog post.
The black design continues on the DualSense Edge Controller Carrying Case, Pulse Explore Headphone Charging Case, and Pulse Elite Headset Charging Holder. However, the Pulse Elite Wireless Headset and Pulse Explore Wireless Headphones will instead come with gray carrying cases, eliminating the dark theme.

This isn’t the first time Sony has offered black PlayStation 5 accessories. In 2021, it showed off the standard DualSense wireless controller, as well as Pulse 3D Wireless Headset in the same Midnight Black color scheme. Even the PlayStation 5 console cases are available in matching black. After years of waiting, fans of black accessories can finally get their hands on the rest of the hardware family.
The full range of new Midnight Black PlayStation accessories will go on sale from February 20th on the PlayStation Direct Store portal, as well as participating retailers. Pre-orders will begin on January 16th.
