Natura Umana Humanpods earbuds let you talk to ‘AI people’

New wireless open-ear headphones called HumanPods, unveiled at CES 2025, offer voice access to various AI characters with just one touch, according to startup Natura Umana.

The new headphones, which, of course, play music, promise to provide what the company calls “the closest thing to a telepathic connection with your technology,” offering direct access to artificial intelligence assistance through simple touch controls. The company’s CEO provides a short video demonstration below (with some errors).

Human nature

The new product is one of several headphones presented at CES. Artificial intelligence functionality. In the center Human nature lie NatureOSthe patented Natura Umana operating system for iOS and Android, which supports a set of artificial characters called “AI People”. It is also compatible with voice assistants such as Siri and can also access other AI language models. One of the stated benefits is reduced screen time for users.

HumanPods digital agents are designed to mimic human behavior and the nuances of conversation. They have different personalities, voices and areas of expertise. Users can interact with specialized AI characters, ranging from therapists and fitness trainers to gardeners and tour guides, through natural voice communication, the company says.

The main AI agent named Nature organizes interaction with the system. It analyzes user requests and delegates them to the most suitable AI specialist to provide assistance. In addition to these native AI agents, Humanpods also provides seamless access to installed language models including ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, eliminating the need to manually manage smartphone apps.

According to Natura Umana, the design of the equipment gives priority to comfort and functionality. The open ear configuration prevents pressure on the canal while maintaining stability with an adjustable hook system available in five sizes. This design choice allows long-term wear without discomfort.

Powerful battery life and sound performance

The headphones offer impressive battery life of nine hours on a single charge, and the included charging case provides up to 24 hours of extra charge. Fast 15-minute charging capability ensures minimal downtime.

Specifications include a custom 14.8mm driver that delivers superior sound quality. According to the company, ENC and dual microphone technology can reduce up to 90% of ambient noise. The system is equipped with a Dynamic Bass Enhancement feature that automatically adjusts levels to ensure consistent sound quality at varying volumes. Touch controls allow users to play, pause, adjust volume, and activate voice assistance with intuitive gestures.

NatureOS app

The NatureOS companion app serves as a comprehensive interface allowing users to send text, images, documents and voice notes to both AI People’s own language models and third-party language models.

This versatility allows the system to perform a variety of tasks: from analyzing the condition of plants and recognizing photographs to providing psychological support through conversation.

While an official release date remains unannounced, Natura Umana confirms that HumanPods will be available for public testing at CES 2025, with a market release planned for the first quarter of 2025.
