Netflix Moments feature now available on Android

Streaming services strictly protect their content, but they must also recognize that we live in an era that changes with the times. to this end, Netflix Embrace the short-form video trend driving social media by launching Moments on Android.

Netflix re-announced Moments on its news blog over the weekend. Tumdueven though the function is Already available on iOS. Moments lets you bookmark scenes from your favorite shows, or Movieeither save it to rewatch later or share it with others. It’s now available on the world’s two major mobile platforms, but you can only access it if you have an ad-free Netflix plan.

It’s very intuitive to use, just click the “Moment” button in the lower left corner of the screen to save the current scene in the “My Netflix” tab for easy access. Saved scenes can be shared via messaging apps like WhatsApp, or directly to platforms like Instagram and Facebook. The feature is designed to give users a new way to relive key moments, whether it’s a dramatic kiss in a classic movie or a pivotal twist in the upcoming second season of Squidward.

While Moments is useful to users, Netflix will also recognize its potential. Sharing its content on social media is free advertising for the streaming giant, and the wider the spread, the better. There’s risk of spoilers, of course, but Netflix hopes the sneak peek will attract new customers.

It’s hard to be too cynical about Netflix’s motives. After all, anyone who’s seen Doomscroll recently will have seen that the entire movie is being shared on some platforms – presumably without permission. If Netflix can launch its content as a single scene with the logo visible, it will hope to gain recognition in the form of new business.
