New $7,000 Dungeons & Dragons Pinball Machine Looks Incredible

Stern Pinball is back with another new machine, this time for Dungeons and Dragons Following the 50th anniversary of the tabletop role-playing game. The table comes with all the fancy bells and whistles and an all-star voice cast, and can be owned starting at $7,000. Or you can pay almost double the price for a limited edition.

Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Tyrant Takes players into the Forgotten Realms and takes on owl bears, gelatinous cubes, red dragons, and the beholder Sanatha, all with just a pair of flippers and a few steel balls. Trap doors unlock new dungeons, and dice rolls determine how the adventure unfolds. I don’t have a spare down payment on a new car, but I do have a basement waiting to be renovated that would be perfect for that.

“Ruthless Battle Lars, Red Dragon, the most advanced electronic mechanical mecha in the pinball machine, [who] It intelligently responds to player movements through multi-axis motion and uses omnidirectional impact sensing technology,” Stern wrote in a press release. “Voiced by the iconic Michael Dorn, players will attempt to defeat Rath the Relentless with pinballs and hit 3 bank targets to steal their treasure. When Rath the Relentless Multiple marbles will shoot out of Si’s mouth as it spits out brilliant fire, but be prepared as players can activate the metal shield between its flippers to not only defend against attacks, but also assist with field shots.

I’m definitely not a marble connoisseur, but this all sounds great. Critical Role fans will also be in for a treat, as Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey and Marisha Ray are also in the cast R&D Pinball’s voice cast includes Kevin Smith, Luke Gygax, Chris Planoski, Brendon Small, and Gerald Way. The watch even integrates with the Stern Insider app to save progress. it is actually a R&D Roguelike pinball game. In fact, it’s a good idea for real video games, too.
