New Apple TV Rumored to Launch Next Year With These Features

It’s been more than two years since the current Apple TV 4K was released, so the streaming device will soon be due for a hardware upgrade. Luckily, recent rumors suggest that a new Apple TV will launch sometime next year.

Below, we review the rumors surrounding the next-generation Apple TV.

BurundiMark Gurman reported last week that Apple has been working on its own Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combo chip that will launch in a variety of devices next year, including New Apple TV and HomePod mini models. He said the chip will Support Wi-Fi 6Ewhich will be an upgrade to the current Apple TV standard Wi-Fi 6 support. Wi-Fi 6E extends the capabilities of Wi-Fi 6 into the 6 GHz band, allowing for faster wireless speeds and reduced signal interference with compatible devices and routers.

There are currently no rumors pointing to major design changes for the next Apple TV, but Gurman says Apple has considered them add a Built-in camera to future models.
