
New Year update to Apple Fitness+ adds Strava integration
In its now annual launch of new features, Apple Fitness+ highlighted its partnership with fitness app Strava, and also added sessions of strength training, yoga, pickelball and breathing meditation.
Coming January 2023 Apple Fitness+ added kickboxingalthough there was still service criticized due to lack of range. More were added in January 2024 workout and meditation.
Now, starting January 6, 2025, Apple Fitness+ is launching what it claims is its largest lineup of programs yet, “offering users more ways to stay active and mindful.” There is now a progressive strength training program, a conditioning program using pickleball, and other big names in the Artist Spotlight and Time to Walk series.
“Fitness+ is designed to support each person’s unique journey to fitness and wellness,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of fitness technologies, “by offering enjoyable and motivating workouts, meditations and programs that make it easy to stay active and mindful.”
“From workouts that can improve pickleball strength and accuracy, to breathing meditations that help relieve stress, to Artist Spotlight sessions featuring iconic hits, and an exciting collaboration with Strava,” Blahnik continued, “Fitness+ has a lot to inspire. motivate and help everyone feel better in 2025.”
The collaboration with Strava means the fitness app gets access to Apple Fitness+ data, from session metrics to episode artwork. Strava athletes will also feature Apple Fitness+ workouts throughout the year.
Existing Strava subscribers also receive up to three months of Apple service.
Highlights of Apple’s new classes include a 20-minute dance workout from choreographer Alex Wong. From January 13, 2025, Adam Scott is also launching a new series, Time to Go.
Apple Fitness+ is a paid workout subscription that costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. It is also included in the Premier level Apple One subscription package.
