Nintendo Switch 2 leaks hit Amazon and CES

There’s a good chance Nintendo will regret not disclosing Switch 2 already. Leaks seem to be pouring in about the highly anticipated upcoming console, and now there’s been a massive leak from none other than Amazon itself.

New product list on Amazon Japan gives us our first full look at what could be the successor to the Nintendo Switch. The listing features a protective case for the Nintendo Switch 2 from the brand Laziro, which is available in black or clear.

The listing shows the updated Nintendo Switch with a transparent Laziro case and a joycon that looks like fused design we’ve seen before. While the Switch 2 won’t 100 percent look like this, there’s a good chance it will.

Accessories for Switch 2 will be shown at the conference

Accessories manufacturer Genki has released a video showcasing some of the upcoming Switch 2 accessories. CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The video gives us a look at the Switch 2 dock and console logo.

While the Switch 2 Genki unveiled at CES is just a 3D mockup, the company is reportedly touting that it’s based on the real Switch 2. In the video below, you can see the original Switch next to the 3D mockup. A picture of the Switch 2, and the new console looks much larger than the original. A Genki rep reportedly said at CES 2025 that it has developed eight accessories for the Switch 2 and will release them alongside the console “in April” (via Numerama).

You can visit Genki’s site now to sign up for notifications about accessories for Switch 2, which the company calls “an all-new line of accessories designed for the next evolution of gaming.” Genki is as reported is not in an official partnership with Nintendo, so it can show off its accessories before the console’s unveiling and doesn’t break any contracts.

Nintendo has not confirmed this information, and it is still unclear when exactly the company will reveal the Switch 2. However, judging by all the news and leaks from CES 2025 about the console, its presentation may be imminent in the next few weeks, based on previous reports. The last time Nintendo spoke publicly about a console, it was revealed that the successor to the Nintendo Switch would be backward compatibility and be able to play current Switch games.
