Today’s New York Times (Game #300)—Answers
Today’s answer to Strands Game #300 is…
- Lavender
- Patchouli
- cedar wood
- Eucalyptus
- SPANGRAM: Aromatherapy
- My rating: simple
- My results: perfect
There are approximately 90 types of essential oils, each with many benefits. Of the four plants we’re looking for today, cedar helps focus, lavender relieves stress, and eucalyptus relieves congestion. In other words, if you’re stuck in strands, try using some essential oils to unclog them.
Meanwhile, patchouli was popular during the hippie era because it could mask the smell of smoke and alcohol, and it would no doubt last a few days without washing. It also repels mosquitoes and is good for dry skin.
Interestingly, King Tutankhamun was buried in his golden royal tomb, accompanied by 10 gallons of patchouli. He either has some annoying habits or has very dry skin.
