OnePlus 13 Arrives Globally and Here’s Pricing, Launch Details, More
OnePlus 13the phone that was announced and released in China back in October last year, it has now officially launched on the world stage and will launch in the US today. Featuring the same specs as the Chinese version, only now with OxygenOS as the software on top of Android 15, the OnePlus 13 is available in three colors and with a starting price of $899, although there are also offers.
To sum it up, this is a truly high-end phone from OnePlus with the latest specifications, namely the latest Qualcomm chip, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage, 50MP triple rear camera with flagship sensors, massive body. It has a 6,000mAh battery with blazingly fast wired and wireless charging, and a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s nothing missing from this phone, that’s for sure.
Among the notable updates, I would mention the flatter display this time. Even though the glass is slightly bulged at the edges, it’s almost back to the flat state we now see from Google and Samsung with their flagship phones. OnePlus also features an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for the first time and gives you a choice of three colors with a unique back panel texture. The blue model is covered in microfiber vegan leather, while the white model has a fingerprint-resistant glass coating on the surface. The black model has a fun wood grain texture on the back.
The OnePlus 13 doesn’t have built-in magnetic charging, but the company sells cases with magnets inside to give you MagSafe and Qi2 vibes. They have a new wireless charger that can be plugged in magnetically and has a fan that keeps things pretty cool by directing the juice into your phone.
Of course, we’re not just talking about performance here. OnePlus wants you to know about its “meaningful” AI capabilities, such as access to Google Circle to Search, image processing tools (Unblur, Detail Boost and Reflection Eraser), and smart device search. It also has an IP69 rating, which means it can withstand water jets and survive. Yes, the partnership with Hasselblad is still ongoing, so the camera has some tweaks from those folks and a “Master” camera mode that allows you to shoot completely manually.
In terms of software support, OnePlus will ship Android OS updates for 4 years and security updates for OnePlus 13 for 6 years.
Want to buy? The OnePlus 13 goes on sale today in the US via OnePlus.com or Best Buy. It will eventually be sold on Amazon as well. Normally $899 buys you the 12-256GB model, but for launch OnePlus is offering a free upgrade to the 16-512GB models (they’ll cost $999 once promotions start). There are other promotions too, like up to $899 off and at least $100 worth of instant trade-in credit on any phone in “any” condition.
The OnePlus 13 should work fine on Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T, just without mmW 5G support. You will find full group support below.
