OnePlus Ace 5 Pro arrives with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 6,100 mAh battery, Ace 5 tags along
OnePlus has launched OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro as successor Ace 3 and Ace 3 Professional Editionrespectively. Since tetraphobia still exists in China, OnePlus omitted the number “4” from the name. That said, let’s see what OnePlus’ latest Ace series of smartphones has to offer.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro
Let’s talk about OnePlus Ace 5 Pro first. It is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chip, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The smartphone comes with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage and runs Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro uses “dual ice core VC” to increase heat dissipation speed by 2 times, and adopts a chip air duct design to quickly dissipate heat from the bottom of the chip. In addition, it is equipped with Fengchi gaming core for native 120 FPS gaming at 1080p resolution. OnePlus has also partnered with the folks at Genshin Impact to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro features a 6.78-inch 120Hz 2780×1264 pixel resolution 8T LTPO AMOLED display protected by Crystal Shield Glass. The screen has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Additionally, there is a fingerprint reader for biometrics and a punch-hole for the 16MP selfie camera below the display. On the back we have a circular island housing three cameras – 50MP main camera (Sony IMX906, OIS), 8MP ultra-wide angle (112° FOV) and 2MP macro camera. The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro also comes with some AI-powered camera features that let you remove people from photos and eliminate image glare.
Powering this Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship is a 6,100 mAh silicon carbon battery that supports 100W charging. It also supports bypass charging designed specifically for gaming.
The remaining highlights of the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro include X-axis linear motor, stereo speakers, multi-function NFC, IR blaster, and IP65 rating. The smartphone also comes with Wi-Fi 7 and a gaming Wi-Fi chip called G1.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro color options
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro comes in purple, black, and white colors, with the third one being a special edition with a ceramic finish.
The machine has five memory options: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. The prices are respectively 3,399 yuan, 3,999 yuan, 3,699 yuan, 4,199 yuan, and 4,699 yuan. The special edition is available in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB versions, which is 100 yuan more expensive than the regular edition.

Now let’s talk about the OnePlus Ace 5, which is the Ace 5 Pro with a different processor, battery, charging speed, and color options. It is not equipped with a gaming Wi-Fi chip, and the VC cooling system is also different. However, it supports 120 FPS gaming.
The OnePlus Ace 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and is equipped with a 6,415 mAh silicon carbon battery that draws up to 80W of power via USB-C.
The Ace 5 comes in titanium, black and celadon, with the celadon model having a ceramic finish. Like Ace 5 Pro, Ace 5 is available in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations, priced at 2,299 yuan, 2,799 yuan, 2,499 yuan and 2 yuan at 2,999 yuan and 3,499 yuan respectively. The ceramic model of OnePlus Ace 5 is only available in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB versions, which is 100 yuan more expensive than the standard version.
