OnePlus Open 2 may arrive later than previously rumored

A few days ago, there were rumors from China that Oppo Find N5 will be launched there Before the end of March. The device will most likely be sold internationally under this name OnePlus Open 2 Since the original OnePlus Open It has been renamed since last year OPPO Find N3 (Oppo skipped the “4” because quadrophobia).

We did note at the time that it was unclear how soon after the N5’s launch Open 2 would be available, a fact revealed today by a tipster on X – and it’s not good news.

As you can see, the OnePlus Open 2 is said to not be available internationally until the second half of 2025, so not until July at the earliest. Since it’s rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, this release schedule means it will only be on the market for a few short months (or even less) before the next flagship Snapdragon chip is released (presumably in October ).

So, given its likely flagship pricing, the Open 2 will only be able to use current flagship chips for a short time, which, to put it mildly, isn’t ideal. Then again, this is just an unconfirmed rumor, so maybe things could be different. We’ll have to wait and see.
