ONEXPLAYER G1 is an 8.8 inch mini-laptop for gaming (Detachable keyboard and up to Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 or Intel Core Ultra 7 255H)

ONEXPLAYER G1 It is either a mini laptop that can also be used as a portable gaming system or a gaming laptop that can also be used as a general purpose laptop.

It’s a compact computer with an 8.8-inch display, an AMD Strix Point processor, and a QWERTY keyboard that’s (barely) good for touch typing. But you can also lift the keyboard and remove it to reveal a set of built-in game controllers and a capacitive touch keyboard that lets you type with your thumbs while holding the G1 with both hands. Update: One netbook plans launch a crowdfunding campaign for ONEXPLAYER G1 January 9 with early bird rewards starting at $899.

Laptop PC Manufacturer One Netbook shared a teaser about the upcoming laptop on Chinese social media late last year, although at the time the company was calling it the OneGx 2 and positioning it as a follow-up to the OneGx1 mini-laptop that first launched in 2020.

Labeling the system as an ONEXPLAYER device makes more sense: the company may have started out with mini-laptops, but in recent years One Netbook has focused much of its attention on the ONEXPLAYER line of portable gaming computers. While this new model can be used for both work and play, I’m not surprised the company is sticking with its more well-known gaming brand.

According to the Indiegogo crowdfunding preview page, ONEXPLAYER G1 will be available with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with a 12-core 24-thread processor, 16-core RDNA 3.5 graphics and an NPU with 50 TOPS performance.

• AMD Ryzen 9 HX 370/64GB/4TB for $1,599 (IGG Early Bird Price)

There’s no word yet on how much the ONEXPLAYER G1 will cost or when exactly you’ll be able to buy it, but One Netbook has confirmed a few other features. So we know it will have a 2.5K 144Hz display, USB4 and OCuLink ports, and a body that weighs 900 grams (just under 2 pounds).
