Original Pixel Buds Pro almost 50% off in clearance sale
With launch Pixel Buds Pro 2 Last year, the Google Store stopped selling the original pair. However, you can still find the first-generation Pixel Buds Pro at select retailers, and Woot is selling them brand new today. for $109.99 on sale.
The 2024 buds are 24% lighter and 27% smaller than the 2022 pair. It’s a noticeable difference, although the bean-shaped nature of the original, which matches the bottom curve of your ear, may be more comfortable for some. Personally, I would still wear the original if there weren’t other technical upgrades in the second generation.
Meanwhile, the new pair provides 8 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation enabled and 12 hours without it (versus 7 and 11 hours, respectively). The battery life of the charging case is 20 to 30 hours (ANC) and 31 to 48 hours (non-ANC).
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 is also rated from IPX4 to IP54, while the charging case is rated from IPX2 to IPX4. Also noteworthy is the addition of a speaker for Find My Device.
Other notable improvements include Bluetooth 5.4 (up from 5.0) and very small ear tips. In terms of software, Gemini’s experience currently at the same level.
Woot, an Amazon company, is selling the new Google Pixel Buds Pro for $109.99 until January 7th at 11:59 pm CT or while supplies last on sale. That’s 45% off the original price while Amazon is (directly) selling it. for $149. It is currently available in Bay (blue), Coral (orange) and Porcelain (beige).
Last year, the price of Pixel Buds Pro 2 increased to $229. now $30 off.
This is an absolute technical upgrade if you’re using the A-series Pixel Buds, but be aware of the drastic difference in size and weight (5.06g vs 6.2g). Google still sells the new A-Series for $99, but it’s frequently discounted (currently $79).
