
Outlook crashing when copying text? Microsoft has a fix for that
For two months or more, Microsoft Outlook users have been experiencing an error causing their email client to freeze. Unfortunately, the error occurs when performing a very common action – using Ctrl + C to copy text.
Having finally acknowledged the problem in November, Microsoft Now I was able to solve this problem. Here’s what Microsoft 365 users need to know.

When Microsoft confirmed the problem late last year, the company said it was reported in Current Channel version 2409 (build 18025.20096) or higher, and that the problem occurs when using languages with IMEs. The company summarized the bug by saying: “When you highlight text in a classic Outlook email and then use the copy shortcut Ctrl+COutlook may freeze or freeze.”
