This Tropical Cocktail Is a Cross Between a Spicy Margarita and a Singapore Sling
The pink elephant is a bright, tropical cocktail that combines tequila Blanco with sharp, aperol, filled with chili, maracuir, pineapple and fresh lemon juices, cherry liqueur, and orzhita syrup.
This original cocktail was created in a glass of double stone with pink rim pepper, this original cocktail was created by Leo Robic, a partner and vice president of food and drinks in Nomad London.
“The pink elephant was inspired by the Satan circus, a branded cocktail from the first Nomad New York menu,” says Robitsk. “We wanted to rethink him with tequila, leaning towards the tropical atmosphere of Tiki-Esk, preserving the courage and spices of Margarita.”
Robitzshka says that this drink was also inspired by classics, such as tropical, fruit Singapore string, as well as modern classics, such as the bartender of Giuseppe Gonzalez Margarita, a baby that uses orgic and aromatic pink water.
“The pink elephant is intended for those who love tequila, but wants something more multi -layer and playful,” says Robitsk. “[This cocktail] Turning to the fans of Margarita who are looking for a highlight, Tiki enthusiasts and anyone who loves brave, bright cocktails with a small number of spices. ”
Why does the pink elephant work?
Margarita supports her rating from year to year as one of the most popular cocktails in the world. It also remains one of the most often rhymes on the classic recipes of cocktails. Due to its simple, 3-4-engagement assembly, simple for memorable, the template makes it so that the ingredients can be easily replaced to create another favorite of an instant fan.
This rich version is “available, but complex,” says Robitsk. “We are verbose -haired aromas with walnut almonds, cherries and maracui with a shade of spice of chili to the depths.”
The key to this bright cocktail is Aperol, filled with a bird’s eye, which creates a thin heat in a drink. The struggle is a sour Italian liquor passes through a quick infusion with a native of pepper in Mexico, also known as Thai Chilis.
“[The Pink Elephant is] Refreshing, brave and multi -layer, hitting the balance between sweet, spicy and tart, ”says Robitsk.
A blasting pink rim of pepper adds to a glass picture and gives a spicy note, which emphasizes various aromas in the drink.
