Realme 14 Pro+ showcased with a cold-sensitive color-changing panel

Realme launched the 14 Pro+ and 14 Pro smartphones today, but the company didn’t reveal most of the specifications. It did confirm that they will feature cold-sensitive color-changing panels and revealed their design.

The 14 Pro+ will have triple cameras on the back, while the 14 Pro will have dual cameras.

We can also see a new triple flash system for night portraits, a feature Realme calls MagicGlow.

Designed in collaboration with Valeur Designers, the panel responds to cooler temperatures, unlike previous color-changing solutions that changed color when the panel was exposed to sunlight. Here, the pearly whites turn to a vivid blue once the device is exposed to temperatures of 16 degrees Celsius or lower.

The Copenhagen-based design studio said it was “pleased to work with such a forward-looking, youthful brand.” Chase Xu, vice president and chief marketing officer of Realme, added that the 14 Pro series brings “the beauty and beauty of Realme smartphones to The functionality has been elevated to a new level.”

The Pearl White version is unique to each user, as the company uses a special fusion of fibers involving more than 30 process steps, ensuring each back has a different pattern.

We also learned that Realme 14 Pro+ will have a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio and 1.6mm narrow bezels, but the size and resolution have not yet been determined. It will be IP68 and IP69 compliant and have TUV Rheinland certification, making it a rugged smartphone that can withstand accidental drops and water immersion.

The phone was showcased at an event in the Danish capital and we also learned that the Pro+ will run on Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and will bring Realme UI 6.0. It will be the only phone in the 14 Pro series to feature a periscope telephoto camera and a quad-curved display; the regular 14 Pro will miss out on these features.
