How Roborock Saros Z70 works
The vacuum has a three-step process.
Roborock
Roborock Saros Z70 is equipped with artificial intelligence technology and has a three-step process to properly clean and tidy your floor. He’ll start by vacuuming the floor, but while he’s doing that, he’ll mark objects he can pick up and come back to grab them when he’s finished vacuuming. Once the vacuum cleaner has finished picking up and storing any items, it will return and vacuum the area underneath.
The OmiGrip arm on the robot vacuum cleaner uses precision sensors, a camera and an LED light to determine the position of an object and whether it can be picked up. Before use, the arm must be configured via the Roborock app. In the application, you can specify a place where it will store items picked up from the floor, for example, in a basket or a closet in the hallway.
While it’s probably quicker to just pick up your socks yourself, the prospect of a robot vacuum doing it for you while you’re out of the house seems convenient. The Roborock Saros Z70 will be showcased at CES 2025 in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10. A release date and price are expected later this year.
