Samsung announces highly durable microSD cards with Sonic characters

Samsung has announced the launch of a new series of microSD cards in the Sega Sonic the Hedgehog series. The new line of microSD cards is called Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus, and they are highly durable memory cards that come in four models.

The 128GB version has a red Knuckles icon, the 256GB version has a yellow Tails icon, the 512GB version has a blue Sonic icon, and the 1TB version has a black Shadow icon. Pricing is $23.99, $36.99, $68.99 and $125.99 respectively.

All four cards are A2 microSD, with sequential read and write speeds of up to 180 MB/s and 130 MB/s respectively.

Another interesting aspect of these cards is that they can withstand a variety of conditions. They can be immersed in 1 meter of 3% salt water for up to 72 hours without damage and can withstand high temperatures, magnetic fields and X-rays. They are even drop-proof and can withstand drops from heights of over 4.8 meters.
