Samsung confirms Unpacked date for Galaxy S25 series – and $1,250 off preorder deal
Samsung is everywhere in January, from Las Vegas to KES in San Jose for the upcoming Unpacked event, where we expect to hear more about the company’s plans for Galaxy AI and the latest S series smartphones. The phone maker confirmed today that the San Jose event will take place on Wednesday, January 22, just two weeks after CES.

“Get ready for more natural and intuitive AI. The next evolution of Galaxy AI is coming, and it will change the way you interact with the world every day,” Samsung said in a press release on Monday. What exactly the new AI features will entail remains to be seen, but the idea of a lighter, “meet you where you already are” approach to software sounds promising.
What we can make an educated guess about is Samsung’s ongoing partnership with Google to popularize Android. As previously reported, it is rumored that the search giant will provide Samsung users with a year’s worth of Gemini Advanced Access for free when they pre-order the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. That alone costs $200.
To top it all off, Samsung has confirmed that it will be launching pre-order deal for those who are interested in new phones. From now until January 22, customers can “reserve” their pre-order and receive a free $50 Samsung credit when it’s time to make a transaction later.
Last year’s Galaxy S24 series was the first phone to support Google’s Circle to Search AI tool.

Making a reservation, which is free and no obligation, will also give you a chance to win a $5,000 Samsung gift card.
If you’re thinking about trading in your old phone, Samsung says it will offer up to $1,250 in credits this time around, which must this will be enough to get you the most premium Galaxy S25 Ultra model or a more standard model with additional accessories. Stay tuned for more news as Samsung Unpacked approaches.
