in our Samsung Galaxy Ring review We rated the wearable 4.5 stars out of 5, so we’re very excited to see what the next model has to offer – and it looks like we could officially see the second-generation smart ring as early as next month.
According to Taiwanese news media digital age (via newwin), we will get an “introduction” Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 at January’s Unpacked event. There were rumors that Samsung planned to arrange a January 22.
We don’t get too many new details here, although the report does mention new size options, more accurate sensors, improved artificial intelligence, and better battery life – all of these upgrades are fairly predictable, but Still welcome.
DigiTimes says we may also see a new augmented reality (AR) glasses from Samsung at the Unpacked event, which is already a fact. Forecasts from other sources – So this is going to be a big showcase for Samsung products.
Packaged Unpacked
Don’t forget, the main reason for Samsung’s Unpacked event in January is to launch Samsung Galaxy S25 Series calls. We’re expecting the standard model, the S25 Plus, the S25 Ultra, and most likely the new Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim.
Galaxy AI apps and tools will also be available across all these devices: part of the event should be a full rollout of One UI 7 for Galaxy phones (Samsung’s approach) Android 15), currently in Beta testing.
However, if the Galaxy Ring 2 and new AR specs are mentioned here, they might not be available immediately. Keep in mind that the original Galaxy Ring won’t be available for purchase until July 2024, following its January 2024 teaser, so the same thing could happen again in 2025.
When the Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 finally comes out, it will almost certainly be worth mentioning on our list. The best smart rings You can buy it — though we’ll have to wait for a trial before making a final decision.
