Samsung introduces a new wave of laptops. At CES 2025, the company introduced the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 PCs. The devices run on Intel “Lunar Lake” Core Ultra Processors. C 47 TOPS On-board PCs are designed with artificial intelligence in mind. They support a number of artificial intelligence features such as AI Select and Photo Remaster. Prices for the new laptops have not yet been disclosed, but shipments of the devices are expected to begin in February.
The Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 share many similarities with their predecessors. Samsung says the Galaxy Book5 Pro (16-inch) can play videos for up to 25 hours and charge up to 35% in just 30 minutes. Actual battery performance will depend largely on usage, but the ballpark numbers are intriguing. The Dynamic AMOLED 2x display of the new Galaxy Book5 Pro laptops has a 3K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), which helps extend battery life and make movement on the display smoother.
The screens of the new Galaxy Book5 Pro laptops also support Vision Booster technology, which tonally maps and adjusts the display’s contrast and colors based on lighting conditions.
Although the new laptops are not Copilot+ PCs, Samsung has placed a lot of emphasis on their artificial intelligence capabilities. The laptops support AI Select, which lets you get more information about everything that appears on your screen, and Photo Remaster, which uses AI to retouch and clean up images.
Samsung and Microsoft have been collaborating for years to bring Samsung phones and PCs together, and that continues here. The new laptops support Microsoft Phone Link, nearby device sharing, storage sharing and fast data sharing. They also work with multiple controls and a second screen, the latter of which allows you to use your Galaxy Tab device as a second screen on your PC.
