The Mac mini M4 has a lot of ports, but most of them are located on the rear panel. This is not the most convenient place to connect a flash drive or camera. An increase in the number of ports that users can easily access is welcome.

That’s why the Satechi Mac Mini M4 Stand and Hub with SSD Case has three USB-A ports on the front panel. Two support USB 3.2 for data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps, and the third uses USB 2.0. There is also an SD card reader for data transfer speeds up to 312 MB/s.

Inside is an SSD enclosure that supports up to 4TB of NVMe storage. It’s an easy way to expand your Mac’s storage capacity or store Time Machine backups.

The power button on the bottom of the M4 Mac mini is a somewhat controversial feature. This stand is located under the computer and has a cutout for this button for easy access.

Additionally, the hub features bottom heat-dissipating vents and a recessed top area to improve desktop cooling.

The Satechi Mac Mini M4 Stand and Hub with SSD Case is scheduled to be released in limited quantities on February 17, 2025. Expect full availability in March.
