The Apple MacBook Air M3 is the latest in the series, making it the best option right now. Normally priced at $1,099, it’s currently $200 off, making it a welcome treat for those looking for a well-built, great-looking, and powerful laptop at a reasonable price.

MacBook computers have made huge leaps in performance since using Apple chips. The M3 is the third generation and it is a very powerful processor. When mixed with 16GB of RAM, this laptop performs quite well. This laptop can handle all your casual tasks and even handle your photo and 4K video editing needs. Performance won’t be an issue unless you really push it to its limits, which most users really won’t do.

Performance aside, keep in mind that this is a premium laptop, so there aren’t really any sacrifices made here. The aluminum design is gorgeous and has now become a signature of Apple’s MacBook Air series. This laptop is beautifully crafted, with a slim profile and portable design. You get a great backlit keyboard and a large glass trackpad. It also comes with the MagSafe charging port, which returns in the M2 model.

The capabilities of the M2 processor are still very strong. In fact, I own this model and personally use it to edit RAW photos and 4K videos. I had no issues and multiple of our colleagues can attest to its functionality.

In addition to the performance improvements, you don’t lose much by buying a previous-generation computer. It actually looks the same, has the same ports, offers the same backlit keyboard and trackpad, and even has the same screen. The battery life is also up to 18 hours per charge.

Aside from the chip, the only real difference is that the newer model has Wi-Fi 6E instead of this model’s Wi-Fi 6but again, most users won’t even notice this. The microphones have also seen some improvements, as newer models feature voice isolation and enhanced clarity.

At only $799, it’s definitely a better deal for most people. Most people won’t even notice the upgrade on M3 models, and you can save $100 on something else.
