Save individual emails locally to your hard drive in the new Outlook
Microsoft recently hinted Official end date for classic Outlook app. You still have some time to use it, but eventually you’ll need to switch to a new Outlook app (or another email app entirely). Understandably, many users are hesitant because the new version of Outlook lacks features that have been available in classic Outlook for some time.
If you’re already using the new version of Outlook, you may have noticed that the File menu is no longer available in the application’s main window and open email windows. Therefore, you can no longer save messages in MSG format this way.
However, the new Outlook app does have a saving feature. To save a single email as a local file, just open the email in a separate window and click the three-dot menu in the upper right corner. (Contents in the actual message, not the entire toolbar.)

Once clicked, a menu will open where you can choose save as The command is at the bottom. But don’t be surprised: the new Outlook only supports the EML format, which stands for “email.”
