The dedicated ChatGPT search engine developed by OpenAI will be rolled out to all users starting today. OpenAI announced As part of the 12-day OpenAI event.

SearchGPT was added to ChatGPT in late October, providing improved AI-based search directly from the ChatGPT application and web interface. According to OpenAI, SearchGPT can search the web “better than before,” providing links to relevant web resources as well as contextual information and support for follow-up questions.

When it first launched, SearchGPT was limited to users subscribing to ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Teams, but it will now be available to free users as well.

In today’s announcement, OpenAI said its artificial intelligence search has been improved over the past few months to make it faster and better on mobile devices. There’s also a new option to search while you’re talking to ChatGPT and making ChatGPT search the default engine in browsers like Chrome.

OpenAI is providing search capabilities to logged-in ChatGPT users, so it will be available on all platforms that support ChatGPT globally.
