Sega Files New Retro Trademarks After Delisting A Bunch Of Classics Last Year

I wish Sega would copy Capcom and release compilations of their arcade games. Imagine the Sega Racing Collection, including HD remasters of Daytona, Sega Rally, Outrun Coast 2 Coast, Power Drift, Super Hang On and Slipstream. They could also add a port of Virtua Racing to Ages. Add online multiplayer and leaderboards and this is an incredible collection that is sure to be a success. They don’t even have to be remasters. Just turn on the 360-degree versions of Daytona, Rally and C2C.

Or the Sega Fighting Collection with Virtua Fighter, Fighting Vipers, Last Bronx and maybe a few of their beat-em-ups. What about the Sega Virtua Collection, which includes a light gun? And in addition to these collections, there could be a Capcom Arcade Stadium style collection consisting of many small arcade games.

They can do so much with their classics. But they prefer not to do anything with them.
