Secret identities are fun for superheroes, but not necessarily for suspicious and evasive characters”silo“, For example steve zahn’s solo role. Juliet discovered the childish weirdo locked away in the abandoned Silo 17 server vault, and for the past three weeks he’s been tap-dancing around his backstory, sparking all kinds of speculation as to who he really is. Who, how much he knew, and how he did it.
Before we reveal another layer of his secrets, or add to the mystery even further in this new episode of “Descendants,” let’s take a look back at “organLast week, Bernard poisoned Judge Meadows and blamed her murder on a mechanical delegation of Knox, Shirley, Walker, and Kara hoping to talk to the judge about the outing. With help, they disguised the incident as her.
The attackers are hot on their heels and the price for their heads is lucrative, so no place is safe, not even the old porter friends who pretend to offer shelter. Sims’ long-time Raider colleague Rick Amundson is now the head of Justice Security since Bernard has reassigned Sims to replace Meadows because he no longer trusts him to launch a destructive ” Impeach Meadows” movement. Silo 18 is on the verge of collapse as Bernard attempts to prevent a full-scale rebellion, with Sheriff Billings and Juliet’s father Dr. Nichols slowly allying themselves with Bernard and Sims.
In Silo 17, Juliet and Zoro are trying to find a way to repair a damaged underground water pump that caused most of the silo to flood, eventually engulfing the entire silo, including Zoro’s IT lair. But Juliet doesn’t have time for the mission, as she needs to put a helmet on top of the fire suit she found last week so she can return to her home, Silo 18, to let everyone know she’s alive and prevent a fire in Silo 17.
While searching for a survival suit helmet, Zoro casually revealed that his real name was Cole Myers. But Juliet later discovers a sketch of the real Solo next to a girl named Tiny, as well as an employee directory with a photo of Cole Myers, and it’s clear this isn’t him. Juliette confronts him about this discrepancy, and he becomes furious, insisting that he is Solo, a shadow of old IT director Russell. It’s clear that he’s not ready to fully reveal himself and is hiding a dark deed.
In Silo 18, Bernard needs to capture (or kill) a wrongfully accused fugitive to restore order after the turmoil of “Juliet’s Life.” Knox and Shirley were caught by Sims’ wife Camille after they were caught by thugs on the stairs. But she’s actually helping them stay safe and offering them shelter in her coworkers’ apartments. While they were hiding, they decided to escape without waiting for Camille to return and hatched a dangerous plan to use the porter’s winch and pulley system to fall back into the mechanism from the side of the stairs.
Lukas Kyle is brought out of the mines by Bernard and given a mission: to reconstruct the shattered “Red-level relic” that Juliette was found with Hard Drive. Bernard uses his five-year sentence as leverage to get Lucas to repair the contents of his files. Most of the data was destroyed, but Lucas did find blueprints for the silo, indicating a tunnel beneath the structure, and scanned an encrypted love letter from Salvatore Quin that Meadows had mentioned to Bernard before his death. Here comes the name. This is the letter she managed to partially decipher, without revealing its contents.
Is there more information about the moon, sun, stars and planets in the sky? These eye-opening sky revelations show how little the Silo dwellers know about Earth. Lucas also discovered “lines” extending from the silo diagram. These “lines” appeared to be communication pipes or access points running horizontally, suggesting connection points and networks leading to the main control silo.
Finally, Billings found the injured Patrick Kennedy, who had earlier thrown a Molotov cocktail at deputies when Sims urged them to start a riot. In exchange for receiving proper medical care for his gunshot wound, Kennedy agreed to tell Billings everything he knew about the outside world and what he saw when Juliet first accessed the hard drive in Season 1. Taking Kennedy’s trust, Billings showed him Contraband magazine pages showing images of a fresh green earth, and the stage was set to show more.
During the final detour to Silo 17, Juliet was reassuring Solo with a tirade about his identity, but she felt dizzy and ran away to avoid further conflict. She entered an old apartment with an infected wound on her arm and was in obvious pain. While clearing her belongings, she found the helmet under her bed, but then passed out. This nasty wound was something she suffered during an unfortunate fall on a machine in season one.
With Sims now stripped of his powers and finding himself on the outside with his wife helping Knox and Shirley, is his journey about to hit a crossroads with Billings, Kennedy and Dr. Nichols? Will Juliet return to Silo 18 or at least deliver the news that she’s still alive? What astronomical secrets are hidden in Quinn’s letters? With five chapters left, we’ll be digging into more mysteries!
