The PearlClip Pro headphones are very lightweight (just 5.85g) and have a cuff design that Soundpeats says helps prevent ear discomfort. Unlike models with an ear hook (see. Shox OpenFit Air or Oladance(this is a variation of what we mean), you also don’t need to hook them over your ears to ensure a secure fit.
The speakers here are 12mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers, and the earbuds have automatic left/right channel adaptation to deliver consistent sound even if you don’t get them quite right. Bluetooth version 5.4, and a companion smartphone app allows you to customize touch controls and equalizer settings.
Battery life is a promised six hours from the earbuds and another 18 hours from the charging case. You can top up your account in 10 minutes to get two hours of game time.
We previously reviewed Soundpeats headphones and found them to be impressive for the price. Soundpeats Air 4 Pro While not quite up to the standards of the AirPods Pro 2 they’re meant to compete with, they’re not bad considering they cost less than a third of the price Appleproduct. We expected a similar situation with these headphones: the Bose models will no doubt sound better, but given the choice between £299 headphones and £29 headphones, the budget option looks awfully tempting…
The new Soundpeats PearlClip Pro are available for pre-order now for $29.99 and will be available on Amazon US for $59.99 starting January 20th. Pricing and availability for other markets have yet to be announced, but if you can grab this lower price wherever you are, it’ll be around £23.99 or AU$48. And it’s impressive no matter how you look at it.
